We can give a broad definition of an exhibition as a place to display goods in an organized manner, an educational museum, a place to present cultural values, an art gallery, an entertainment venue, a place for trade-oriented exhibitions, creative exhibitions, a place for the exchange of ideas, etc.

An exhibition is important for connecting marketers and marketers, importers and exporters, for promoting various technologies, innovations, arts, as well as domestic and international products and industries, and is also a way to create business connections.

The Exhibition Center and Market Development Organization was previously established by Proclamation No. 14/1991, and is currently established by Establishment Regulation No. ……/2016 to provide year-round exhibition, trade fair and other additional services.

Based on this, the chambers of commerce, which have a role in the trade and investment sector and have played a major role in organizing trade fairs and exhibitions in Ethiopia, are mentioned for this. However, although the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Industry has taken over the management of the organization since 1998 and has been a shareholder, it is said that the organization has not been able to provide modern services due to the lack of any infrastructure development and improvements in the organization.
